There are many reasons your home or business can benefit from installing a solar battery including:
Installing a solar battery will allow you to store excess solar energy so you can use it later on when peak prices hit.

Through the Cheaper Home Batteries Program, it has never made more economic sense to install a solar battery.
Solar battery financial incentives
When installing a solar battery with Sustainable Sparky, we handle the financial incentives ensuring a smooth and seamless process.
There is only one financial incentive we can claim on a solar battery storage system, the Cheaper Home Batteries Program. It provides an up-front discount on home batteries. Lowering the cost by about 25 percent.
Similar to the financial incentive for a solar panel installation, it is an expansion of the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
The current Cheaper Home Batteries financial incentive is at $300 per kWh installed which will drop to $244 per kWh installed on May 1. At the same time it will drop to a tiered system with larger batteries receiving less financial incentive as they expand.
The first 14kWh of battery capacity will receive around $244 per kWh. After that, 15-28kWh will receive 60% as much per kWh. Then, 29-50kWh of capacity, only 15% as much.
A battery storage system with a nominal capacity of 5-100kWh will be eligible, but only the first 50kWh is discounted.
Only one battery system is eligible for a property, and the financial incentive can only be claimed once (not expanded) per property.
The solar battery install process
Once you engage Sustainable Sparky, our process will look like this:
A team member arranges a time for a site visit to help us better understand your needs. We will inspect your existing solar panel setup, discuss the best location for a battery and listen and advise on the best solutions for your scenario.
We then design one or multiple battery storage systems providing a detailed performance estimate for each one.
Once contracts are signed and a deposit made, we will procure materials and lock in an installation date.
Our accredited electricians will complete the battery installation. Keeping everything in-house ensures nothing is missed throughout the process. Enhancing your battery performance and maximising your return on investment.
Complimenting a high quality install is the ongoing support, monitoring and maintenance of our customers systems. Remote monitoring allows us to keep an eye on your system, making sure your investment is performing as it should and allowing us a rapid response if it's not.
